Visual Obsession brought News Limited’s The Cairns Post “Rise & Shine” campaign to life in a 30 second television advertisement aired on Far North Queensland commercial television networks. Shot using a broadcast widescreen digital DVCPRO50 camera the commercial featured local Cairns places and faces waking up to “Rise & Shine” with a copy of the Cairns Post.
Queensland Health - Tropical Public Health Unit
Dengue fever is a serious concern for Queensland Health and for residents and visitors alike. Queensland Health launched a marketing awareness campaign to 'Defend against Dengue' with television commercials, radio commercials and print media with the aim of preventing the spread of dengue fever in North Queensland. Visual Obsession won a state-wide tender and produced 2D and 3D animated commercials, earning Best Special Effects at the Queensland Multimedia Awards.
Echo Creek
Echo Creek is a special place, rich with indigenous history and meaning to Far North Queensland people. Visual Obsession filmed and edited a full length documentary about Echo Creek featuring local indigenous community members and famous international journalist, Jeff McMullen to tell people
the Echo Creek story and also promote their camp refurbishment and new tourism operations. Using footage from the documentary we also designed and edited one and three minute television commercials that Echo Creek use to promote their operations around Australia and overseas.
Harleys - The Educational Super Store
Harleys Educational is one of the leading independent retailers and wholesalers for educational products in Queensland. Harleys have a broad range of quality resources for Early Childhood, Primary and Secondary schools including teacher resource, cultural studies, environment, art and craft, reading schemes, interactive educational CD & DVD and Folkmanis puppets. Harleys Educational also carry educational multimedia programs aligned with changing curriculum requirements. Harleys Educational offer teachers, parents and students a comprehensive range of resources as preferred North Queensland distributor for well known publishers such as Nelson Australia, RIC Publications, Blake Education, Harcourt Education, and Raeco International.
Festival Cairns
Festival Cairns is an annual event held in September and showcases the region both nationally and internationally. Staged in Far North Queensland, this is Australia's leading regional cultural festivals featuring a strong program of creative, cultural and sporting events across a three-week period.
Events Cairns approached Visual Obsession a couple of years ago to film and edit various parts of the festival. Each year the footage is used for the production of Television Commercials and promotional DVDs for marketing and distribution to various tourist outlets nationally and internationally. This year, Visual Obsession set up their 8 meter carbon fibre camera crane to acquire more footage of the Festival Cairns Parade of Lights.
Haralds House
There is an old saying "If you are good at something, you should never do it for free" in this case it was a good cause so we made the exception. It was a sell out night, so the campaign obviously worked, the money raised will make a big difference for Harald's House and the people Harald's House supports.
National Priority Home Loans
Election Advertising - Environmental Campaign for Kevin Byrne and Cairns Unity
Briefed to focus the political advertising campaign on Kevin Byrne and the Cairns Unity Team’s environmental achievements, we used images of whale sharks, platypus and other marine life from the extensive digital stock library of broadcast quality file footage, filmed and owned by Visual Obsession. The result was a high quality, broadcast pictorial presentation evoking the emotional response of the viewer to the natural wonders of Tropical North Queensland while showcasing the achievements of the Cairns City Council.
Mac Homes
Cairns advertising guru Ben Hale and his Adpower team contracted Visual Obsession to bring to life a series of broadcast Television Commercials for the CEC-owned Mac Homes building company. Working to a detailed creative brief, we were able to use animation techniques and professional graphic design skills to create a series of Television Commercials with a creative edge to deliver the key messages in an engaging way.
Stockland
Visual Obsession animated and edited a television commercial promoting school holiday sand building competitions and activities for Townsville’s Stockland shopping centre. The 30 second commercial featured a mix of 3D animations with HD video media and the client was very happy with the response received from the target market.
Skybury The Australian Coffee Centre
Visual Obsession shot and edited a 15 second television commercial for Skybury Coffee’s award winning Australian Coffee Centre on the Atherton Tablelands. The commercial was aired on Australian commercial television and via a number of tourism websites.
Cairns Schoolies Week
Visual Obsession sponsored Cairns Schoolies Week with a professionally shot and edited 30 second, multimedia television commercial promoting events and activities for schoolies week in Cairns.
BITE - Queensland Health
Visual Obsession delivered a full mass marketing and mass communication solution including creative logo, brand identity, certificates, stickers, posters and website for Queensland Health’s Better Informed Takeaways and Eateries – BITE – program. Launched in Innisfail, BITE aims to educate takeaway and eatery businesses as well as individuals about health eating options and choices and offers a series of rewards for those who apply this education to their menus and eating habits.
Local Government Election Campaign for Kevin Byrne and Cairns Unity Team
Kevin Byrne enlisted Visual Obsession to produce the Unity Team’s Television Commercials as part of its re-election strategy in the Cairns Regional Council election. The brief was to keep the broadcast campaign positive, building on the sound economic credentials and record of achievement of Kevin Byrne and the Unity Team for the regional city of Cairns.
