John Hyde Glass and Aluminium Specialists
Glass Innovation is a company specialising in unique high-end glazing for speciality shops, high rise & upmarket housing. The owner required a website that he could direct customers and potential clients to so they could discuss various styles and products. The owner also needed a products and fittings section for specialised glass fittings which they will progressively grow over time.
Due to the unique nature of the product, we decided to let images do the talking and keep text to a minimum. Each section of the site is simply an image gallery, animated with JavaScript. The curved glass 3D design was created by Visual Obsession to add depth to a “clear glass” image.
Harleys - The Educational Super Store
Harleys Educational is one of the leading independent retailers and wholesalers for educational products in Queensland. Harleys have a broad range of quality resources for Early Childhood, Primary and Secondary schools including teacher resource, cultural studies, environment, art and craft, reading schemes, interactive educational CD & DVD and Folkmanis puppets. Harleys Educational also carry educational multimedia programs aligned with changing curriculum requirements. Harleys Educational offer teachers, parents and students a comprehensive range of resources as preferred North Queensland distributor for well known publishers such as Nelson Australia, RIC Publications, Blake Education, Harcourt Education, and Raeco International.
Bronze Moon Outdoors
Bronzemoon Outdoors is an Australian-owned online retail store specialising in the distribution of wilderness gear. Based in Cairns, Queensland, they provide access to thousands of fishing, camping and related products. Visual Obsession created a corporate logo and a carefully designed e-commerce site for Bronzemoon Outdoors to facilitate accuracy and efficiency in their business.
Cairns Airport
Cairns Airport is a gateway to Tropical North Queensland, the Great Barrier Reef and Tropical rainforests. Visitors look to their website for local news, flight schedules, weather, Cairns events and festivals and Cairns Airport works to promote Queensland, Australia as a tourist destination through cooperative marketing initiatives. Visual Obsession designers created an award-winning multimedia advertising and graphics package for Cairns Airport including an easy to use website, interactive mini CD-ROM and print brochure suitable for promoting the Cairns airport facilities and surrounding region.
Airport Car Storage
Airport Car Storage has been specialising in vehicle storage for 21 years, with convenient facilities at the Cairns International Airport and a back-to-base security system.
Visual Obsession developed a full branding package for Airport Car Storage, including Logo, Business Cards, DL Brochure, Fridge Magnet Calendars, etc.
Visual Obsession built a complex back-end website that includes a full business management package custom-made specifically for the business needs of Airport Car Storage. This includes booking management, invoices and online payments, and auto-SMS notifications among other features.

Townsville Port Authority
Port of Townsville provides all of North Queensland with a world-class gateway for commerce and trade. It continues to be one of the state's fastest growing ports. In the year 2004/2005 almost ten million tonnes of cargo passed over their wharves.
Visual Obsession developed the Port of Townsville website - a content management system using Mambo OS, and incorporating unique features such as a Shipping Schedule and Statistics, as well as a photo gallery, dynamic site map, and events calendar. The themes are colour coded depending on the information and category.
Visual Obsession developed an interactive CD and DVD-ROM to provide information to public and industry. Both the CD and DVD-ROM were highly graphical and featured animated menus, music, sound FX and an introduction including a slide show of images and 3D animation of a ship.
Kasa Por Yarn - Queensland Health
Kasa Por Yarn is a Queensland government funded radio play aired on radio 4MW in the Torres Strait and stars indigenous silver Logie winner, Aaron Fa’aoso. Visual Obsession helped Kasa Por Yarn widen their radio play’s audience and reach with a dynamic, viral, social media campaign incorporating a Word Press blog and the social networks most favoured in the target indigenous communities. Visual Obsession created Facebook, Bebo, Twitter and YouTube fan interaction profiles, developed a direct SMS marketing interface and promoted KasaPorYarn’s social media pages and blog with targeted Facebook advertising and direct SMS marketing. Launched in April 2010, Visual Obsession’s Kasa Por Yarn social media campaign has been an enormous success gaining over 2000 fans on Facebook alone within the first week of launch.
EcoTech
Award-winning building design company EcoTech approached Visual Obsession to develop an updatable website which would help the business grow. Visual Obsession exceeded EcoTech's expectations by delivering a fully content manageable website complete with updatable images, text content and current projects.
Mike Ball Dive Expeditions
Cairns based live-aboard dive company, Mike Ball Dive Expeditions commissioned Visual Obsession to develop a website that would give them a polished, professional online presence and flexibility to edit content and change images themselves. Visual Obsession delivered on Mike Ball’s brief and created a clean, organised website with ocean inspired themes. The site is driven by a CMS that Mike Ball’s team use to update the images and content in-house.
Pacific Asia Solutions
Visual Obsession developed a website, custom tailored CMS and historical photo gallery for Cairns based business consultancy, Pacific Asia Solutions. Pacific Asia Solutions focus on building trade and commerce relationships between Australian, Asian and Pacific Island economies with a heavy focus on Papua New Guinea and China.
Peace Lutheran College
Peace Lutheran College is a Prep to Year 12 Christian Co-Educational Day and Boarding College in Kamerunga, Cairns. Visual Obsession developed a website for Peace Lutheran College. It is a content management system, allowing Peace Lutheran College to update their own information, images, PDFs, etc. as required.
Australian Technical College - North Queensland
The Australian Technical College - North Queensland is an independent College located in Townsville and accredited in Queensland as a non-state senior secondary school and a Registered Training Organisation (RTO). Visual Obsession developed a website for ATCNQ, with a fully manageable and easy-to-use backend.
Motor Yacht Eendracht
The website for Motor Yacht Eendracht was produced with luxury and appeal in mind. The photographs displayed across the various pages have been carefully selected to demonstrate differing aspects of the vessel, inside and out. They were also chosen for their bright, contrasting colours, to stand out from the subdued background of the website. These images are all clickable, with javascript powered popups, allowing website visitors to view enlarged versions of each photograph. The images contained in the main header of each page vary, and were especially picked out to enhance the content in each page with a relevant visual reference, displayed in large, widescreen format.
Lockhart River Aboriginal Shire Council
Visual Obsession built a content management system (CMS) and total website solution for Cape York’s Lockhart River Aboriginal Shire Council. The website incorporates printable maps of the Lockhart River area, a business directory of local professional and community services as well as a photo and video gallery containing some of Visual Obsession’s stunning, professional imagery. Visual Obsession’s CMS empowers Lockhart River Aboriginal Shire Council to independently update their own site and content while also introducing them to the power of digital technology and involving staff with online business development.
Yarrabah Aboriginal Shire Council
Visual Obsession is currently building a customised content management system (CMS) and total website solution for Yarrabah Aboriginal Shire Council. Themed with aboriginal art and colouring, the website incorporates Yarrabah specific news and council information as well as a Yarrabah photo and video gallery and is due to go live later in 2010.
Quinkan and Regional Cultural Centre
Laura based not-for-profit organisation, Quinkan Regional Cultural Centre wanted to work with a professional website development company sensitive to the unique needs and resources of remote Cape York indigenous communities and councils. Visual Obsession is currently working on a new, modern website containing maps, travel tips, historical and tourist information about Laura as well as an online store selling original Aboriginal rock art and paintings by artists from Laura and neighbouring Cooktown and Cape York communities. Quinkan Regional Cultural Centre’s online store will also sell tickets to the internationally renowned, bi-annual Laura Dance Festival and the site will be live in late 2010.
Unique 4 Kidz
Unique 4 Kidz offers a large range of Personalised, Positive and Educational products for children, hand picked from a variety of suppliers.
Visual Obsession developed a full branding package for Unique 4 Kidz, including the logo and "Teddy Bear" illustrations. Visual Obsession developed a website and online store for Unique 4 Kidz. It is completely content manageable, allowing Unique 4 Kidz to update their site themselves.
Tammy Barker
To showcase different points in her career, Tammy needed the website to display images and videos. With this in mind, Visual Obsession created a customizable photo gallery for the website, with the ability to add and remove images at any time. The photo gallery was built using JavaScript. In addition to this, Visual Obsession created video embedding functionality, which allows videos uploaded to any popular video website (e.g. YouTube) to be embedded into the pages of Tammy’s website.
Tablelands Regional Council
The Tablelands Regional Council was recently formed from a council amalgamation. It replaces the Shire Councils of Atherton, Eacham, Herberton & Mareeba.
Visual Obsession developed a website for the new council. Due to the need for frequently updated content, the website has an intricate backend with features including an updateable event calendar, news reports, and colour coded sections.

Visual Obsession built a simplified CMS and website for iconic Cairns waterfront restaurant, Dundee’s. The site features an online restaurant booking form, printable breakfast, lunch and dinner menus and colourful photo gallery showing images of Dundee’s patrons and their scrumptious Australian cuisine.
Edge Hill Butchers
Edge Hill Butchery has been a family run business providing quality meat since 1935. Visual Obsession is currently developing a website so the business can go online and extend it's services to more potential customers.
