Environmental impact assessment for deconstruction of a mine (flew in 5 times over 12 month period) inc. portfolio of high res digital photography to compliment the environmental video presentation. The production of digital widescreen filming has been used to develop high quality, corporate videos for a range of clients with diverse requirements, including Advance Cairns, CEC, Placedome Mines, PNG.

Training Videos

Video has many benefits as a communication medium. Can be readily incorporated in to interactive productions, live presentations and internet applications. Easy to update and can be useful in demonstrating products or events such as operation of large machinery, medical procedures, repetitive sales presentations or high-risk experiments difficult to demonstrate to clients under normal circumstances.

Dilapidation Reports

Contracted b y large construction companies such as Hutchison Builders, Construction Managers and Contractors (CMC), we have acquired high definition, broadcast video footage of buildings adjoining proposed construction sites.


South Burdekin Water Board


Since 1966, South Burdekin Water Board has managed a Queensland groundwater area which is the largest replenished coastal aquifer in Australia. Visual Obsession produced a promotional DVD for South Burdekin Water Board demonstrating the recharging of the underground aquifer in the area adjoining and south of the Burdekin River and flood plains. This educational multimedia DVD presentation was developed with a mix of digital widescreen footage and 3D animation and combines creative and technical skills to communicate environmental issues in the Burdekin River Delta.

Tropical Medical Training


Visual Obsession worked with Tropical Medical Training to build a consistent, recognisable and professional brand for their comprehensive general practice training active throughout all Queensland regions, regional and remote.

Advance Cairns


Visual Obsession developed a 9 minute corporate / marketing DVD presented in both English and Chinese to promote education and the benefits of studying in Cairns to the Chinese market. Visual Obsession also produced a website promoting Tropical Expertise for Australia and the International market.

Ikin Group


A fast pace, clean and crisp looking visual package that outlines the company profile of the Ikin Group using images, voice-overs and text images. The images are relatively fast pace shots or film that accentuated the theme of the section that they’re utilised in. The text images are key words that don’t overpower the images, but support them.

Australian Coffee Growers Association


This DVD production is a primary marketing tool for the Australian Coffee Growers Association both nationally and internationally. The production was shot over a 10 month time frame, capturing the planting, flowering, harvesting and processing of coffee.

Tropical Horizons Tours


Visual Obsession composed this video of several different sections, each showcasing a different region Tropical Horizon offered tours for. Each of these sections ranged from 30 seconds to two minutes – the timeframe varied. The video concluded with reinforcement of key images from Visual Obsession file
footage and images acquired during the course of the production. The final scene executed with graphic treatment to company branding, logo and contact details. Graphics treatment for text and logo of the company have been presented in a professional, simple way. The FX, Graphics and animation have spiced up the overall look of the production.

Cape York Land Council


Lockhart River Bush Food - Royal Flying Doctor Service


Visual Obsession was contracted by the Royal Flying Doctors Service, Lockhart River Council and Hitnet to produce a series of documentary stories. The objective of this production is to promote physical activity and a healthy diet in the Lockhart River Community. The filming took place over a period of 12 months, to gather information about bush foods over the range of different seasons. Two distinct seasons were filmed, the wet season and the dry season bush foods of the Lockhart River area and Iron Range national park. The video productions were exported and uploaded to the touch screen kiosks, which are located in medical centres throughout Australia.

Mulgrave Land Care


The objective of this DVD was to showcase new environmentally friendly technologies that Land Care and the sugar cane farmers have invented and adapted to assist in the protection of the Great Barrier Reef and the world heritage listed rainforests. Editing took place during November 2008 and DVD’s duplicated and dispatched in December 2008. The footage was shot using a broadcast DVCPRO50 widescreen digital camera and edited on a Liquid Silver edit suite and authored using Adobe Encore.
