Cairns advertising guru Ben Hale and his Adpower team contracted Visual Obsession to bring to life a series of broadcast Television Commercials for the CEC-owned Mac Homes building company. Working to a detailed creative brief, we were able to use animation techniques and professional graphic design skills to create a series of Television Commercials with a creative edge to deliver the key messages in an engaging way.

Chris Shaw, author of the book “It’s All Relative: Stories to Shorten your Travel Time” commissioned Visual Obsession to develop promotional designs for the book.
The idea behind the book (T2D2 - Travel Time Distortion Device) is that amusing stories can alter your perception of the time taken to travel from one place to another, thus “shortening” your travel time.
To portray this, we designed a wristwatch with hands that are distorted in a comical fashion to loop back and point haphazardly at a random spot on the watch face. The design features the client’s colours – yellow, red and black. The words “shorten” and “travel time” are highlighted in red to make them stand out.

Gurriny Yealamucka - Books for Babies
In conjunction with Queensland Health and Gurriny Yealamucka Health Services Aboriginal Corporation, Visual Obsession developed a series of indigenous specific early childhood reading books. Complimented by large posters in schools and community centres, books for babies combined indigenous themed story lines about nutrition and health activities with photos of real Yarrabah community members and colourful graphics to create publications that were interesting and relevant to their audience.
Queensland Health - Stroke Resource Kit
Queensland Health provides a range of integrated health services caring for people with respect and integrity and creates educational collateral to promote the health of Australian people. Visual Obsession designed a graphics package for a Stroke Resource Kit to reflect Queensland Health’s requirement to appeal to a primarily indigenous client base.
