Advance Cairns is the peak economic development agency in the Far North Queensland region. The objective of Advance Cairns is to develop a vibrant and sustainable regional economy that promotes and facilitates diverse growth, employment, and lifestyle opportunities. Advance Cairns does this by coordinating the efforts of regional organizations, facilitating new and existing business development, and advancing the needs and opportunities of the region in all forums.

Advance Cairns demonstrates an ongoing commitment to the promotion of Cairns as an International tourist destination, as well as the promotion of industries in Cairns and their products and services. Through the Advance Cairns Tropical Expertise Working Group, major stakeholders in the Tropical North Queensland region are contributing to the identification and commercialisation of the expertise inherent in our tropical living.

Visual Obsession developed a 9 minute corporate / marketing DVD presented in both English and Chinese to promote education and the benefits of studying in Cairns to the Chinese market. Visual Obsession also produced a website promoting Tropical Expertise for Australia and the International market.
